Here be dragons

After the rain this morning, we found a huge emporer dragonfly sitting on the decking next to a water feature at work. You can't really get the size of it in the picture, but its about 10cm long. It sat there slowly drying, I dont think they can fly when wet.

Beautiful looking creature, but I'm assured that their larvae are an altogether more sinister affair!
