Ancient

This sculpture is a copy of an ancient mould on display at the Hepworth Gallery along with many others on loan from the Royal Academy.
I was explaining to the young 'uns, (who love to hear about past times, even pre Nanny days, ancient times) that because they didn't have cameras back in the day they made plaster copies of the sculptures and used them to train the students to draw. Alicia said they were also good to teach you how to throw the frisbee. She was looking at the Discobolus at the time.
