Chubby cherub in the fireplace at Blackwell...

Had a lovely afternoon at Blackwell and I was - once again - blown away by the fabulous interiors. Wonderful to see some changes too - with Edmund de Waal's pieces reinstalled 10 years on ... and the beautiful John Harden drawings of family life from the early to mid 19th century. It is such a great place to visit. Magnificent views of Lake Windermere and a yummy lunch too. All in all a very pleasant day ...
