The Three Veils

Our Grandson stayed with us overnight and when Grampy left for work, early this morning,  the village was veiled in thick fog.  Alexander was up at 6.30 and loved the 'soggy weather'. I had to explain that it's foggy not soggy but to be honest, I think he was right anyway, as everything was dripping wet.
The two of us went creeping around the garden looking for cobwebs. Well, I crept. He charged! He found hundreds of webs amongst the trees, in the grass, hanging from the flowers and long threads suspended across the entire garden and each one merited a whoop of delight. I'm sure the neighbours weren't as overjoyed.
I loved how this astilbe had become veiled in webs and the water was really making it stand out.
Alexander is with us for another night, as his parents are at a wedding today. My Daughter was asked to be Best Woman', which she was nervous to accept but she's messaged me to say that everything went well, including her speech :-)
I've not seen any photographs of the bride and groom yet but I'm sure that she would have looked radiant in her wedding dress and veil.

I hope that everyone has had a good weekend. I'm hoping to immerse myself in the world of wizards and Butterbeer tomorrow :-)
