Beauty Remains

Beauty remains.

Such grace and elegance,
when life once flowed.

Urging young and old,
"stretch forth" it cries,
touch something that cannot be sold.

Yet stretching and chasing,
they cannot take hold, Why?
Compared to such tenderness,
callousness restrained.

Elements are heedless,
all actions hurried.
Battering bruising,
all things are crushed.

Take heart,
Beauty remains.
