A rescue cat (from Balerno, presumably the result of an illicit affaires de coeur with one of the posh cats from around there), dispatcher of mice (with the evidence being eaten apart from the heads - those are lined up neatly on the front step), carrier of rare blood disorder (he features in various journal papers no less!), useless fighter (always getting beaten up by other cats) and general softy.
