Sunflower morning and party afternoon

This morning was the annual sunflower morning at school, it's a tradition that dates back to when I went to the same school. This year, the mini pinks entered four sunflowers, two small and two Grandma grown taller ones. We took Emma along, and the minis enjoyed showing her around their school. We bought books at the travelling book fair, which I'm quite excited about reading. We decorated cupcakes and I the mini pinks made loom band bracelets.
After tea and cake from Mrs Edwards, the prizes were awarded, and Miss Pink and Master Pink came 1st and 2nd in the shortest sunflower competition! Much excitement over the box of cadburys heroes ensued!

Emma went home after the excitement of Sunflower morning. And we prepared for Party afternoon! Miss Pink's friend had her 7th birthday party in the garden at her home. It was a fabulous party, and I even got a little hold of her 4 week old baby brother.

All partied out we came home and shared a Chinese takeaway. Miss Pink discovered she likes sweet and sour sauce. I discovered that Shanghai noodles are too spicy!
