Incoming Rain

Fergus the dog and I headed for one of our old walking routes this morning. I carried an umbrella and needed it from time to time. The rain was light and sporadic but heavy falls are predicted over the next few days. It is to be hoped the the drought-stricken areas of North Canterbury to the south of Marlborough get a really good fall of rain. On the other hand I feel for the folk of the Gisborne area in the North Island. They have had more than their fair share with torrential rain and floods. We just can't win!!
