Orchid with Flimsy Curtain

...................................I got up and tried again to do what I had intended yesterday. I tried quite hard and took a lot of shots. This was the best of stuff that didn't really work, Anyway Rome wasn't built in a day.........Much more work to do.

Many thanks for your comments of yesterday. I did take it all on board and  really agreed with all of it in its different facets.

Another lovely day here and when time permitted I dug out a patch of the Japanese anemones that are really invasive. If they appear again I will put on some glyphosate. Something has to work. I have saved a lot for a friend who wants them and can keep them within bounds. Didn't quite finish the job when I was called in for a phone call and dinner. Never did get back out again and nights are really drawing in.

Last night I watched a programme on Scientology on Sky Atlantic. Wow that was an eye opener. Has anyone else watched it? If you haven't try to see it on catch up...............It is seriously nutty. I don't blame the people who get drawn in. It sure hits them hard when they realise what had happened to them when they succummed to joining.  here is a small summary Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of Belief receives its UK TV premiere at 9pm on 21st September on Sky Atlantic.  An extraordinary and powerful film, it highlights the Church’s origins - from its roots in the mind of founder L. Ron Hubbard to its rise to popularity in Hollywood and beyond. It intimately profiles eight former members of the Church of Scientology, shining a light on how the organisation attracts true believers and the things its members do in the name of religion.

At the heart of the film is a series of shocking claims (which are denied by the Church) by former insiders, including high-ranking and recognizable members such as acclaimed screenwriter Paul Haggis (Crash) as they describe a systematic history of abuse and betrayal by Church officials, including the current leadership of the church.

Based on the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright, Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of Belief is produced by Jigsaw Productions for Sky Atlantic.

My second top tip for radio today was on radio 4 you and yours on the subject on how to be happy
