Waiting

After the last couple of days of largely rain-based weather, everyone was out over the common this morning topping up their vitamin D levels in the glorious sunshine.  It was notable that the majority of dogs being walked were pairs. Westies (mine), Border terriers, Labradors and - though you'll have to take my word for it - the dog pictured was also one half of a pair. I'm not sure what breed they are but certainly a fine-looking one. They also gave the impression of being extremely well-behaved and both stayed in the lying down position like this for quite some time.  I assumed it was a training exercise their owner was doing with them...until she eventually came running back to retrieve  and reprimand them. It must therefore have been some kind of protest, I assume.
