Air Show

We caught the train into Southport for the second and last day of the Air Show - pity the weather wasn't like yesterday though.  It's been overcast and cool  cold and our rickety camping chairs dug ever deeper into the wet sand on the beach as we  perched on the second row back from the display!!  Mr T as keen as ever!!  However the display was brilliant and enjoyed by one and all.  I had my favourites: -

This Fairey Swordfish  open cockpit torpedo bomber.  It was used by the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy during World War II;
The Sea king Helicopter performing its last display;
The Red Arrows, of course, and
The noisy and dramatic Typhoon which closed the show.
One or two more in Extras.

Another short train journey back to the caravan - heat on - dinner on - glass of wine to hand - nice and toastie now!!
