BLUE MOUNTAINS!

Today we drove up to the Blue Mountains which get their blue color from the the surrounding eucalyptus trees. It was a stunning view! We also learned all about the local aboriginal culture while hiking in the mountains from our aboriginal guide. After hiking we were able to go see a native dance/ceremony at the cultural learning center- it was overall a great day! I think the aboriginal culture and oppression of them is very similar to the Native American culture back home. Both had a rich culture that was pretty much trampled when invaders decided to take their land for themselves. But I do think that Australia and America are both trying to heal these wounds and restore some of their culture back to them.
