Steaming Through the Woods

Today was the second test day for the new engine No. 41298 at the Steam Railway and last time this year we will see her pulling a service train.

Apart from a couple of very minor issues she has performed flawlessly and when in full service next year will be a real asset to the future success of the railway.

I spent a pleasant day walking the line photographing this beautiful piece of engineering.
