Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

MOOSE!

Some of you might know we love moose. :-)  More people than we would like have given us moose “stuff” for our cabin.   We’ve seen moose in the wild in Sweden and Newfoundland.  But not here.  so I was very happy to see this cow and calf this morning in the willow flats,  walk about for a long time, starting before the sun was up. (But I was!)  they had lots of willow and other brush to eat, and a drink in the pond.....

This is the highlight of the day, but only a small part……
I'm out of extra photos....I hope I can get rid of some earlier ones.....and I'll be back......

Visited some other parts of the park--Jenny Lake was a very favorite of H's Mom, so we took our picture there for her.... And along that route is the famous view by Ansel Adams, (another extra) the tireless environmental photographer who took many black and white photos of many beloved parks.   He would be appalled I think at the commercialism and number of people here now--he thought the best thing would be to have a "reserve" where one could go and sleep under the stars and walk all over absorbing the spiritual and emotional aspects of nature.  that's good....   But I dunno, these parks belong to the American people and I think everyone that is interested should be able to enjoy them some how...
and one last picture "Postcard"with the golden aspens
