OREGON

From Twin Falls to the John Day Fossil Beds national Monument in Oregon…another amazing landscape carved out of the earth.   Much research is happening on the many fossils and bones found here from
44, 000 million years ago (the mammals here…it's an excellent informative website if you are interested....
we started in Bozeman, MT with those dinosaurs from 65,000 years ago)  Drove north through this very colorful rocky landscape and

ended up finding a lovely lovely hotel in Condon OR, at 6PM just before the manager was leaving for the night—this town is dead after 6:00 but there was one cafe open for dinner which took forever as a group of guys on a bicycle tour staying at the same hotel beat us there.  Great roads for them to ride on…and a wonderful spot for our last night.
The extra is a replica of a covered wagon seen along the interpretive Oregon Trail the first part of today... 200,000 people came west in the mid 1800s in these wagons...I can't imagine.....
