Casino Royale

I have headed up to Dunedin today. Tomorrow I am attending some lectures at the university on brain plasticity.
My choice of hotel is usually random based on what deals are being offered. I did this time try first at a place I had been before but they were fully booked so my next choice was the Scenic Hotel. I had never been before and so didn't realise it is also the site of Dunedin's casino! I had a wander b fire dinner and took this shot looking up the spiral staircase! It all looks very grand.

I am slightly apprehensive about my room being right next to the lift! But I live in hope of a peaceful night. I want my brain switched on tomorrow :-)

Thanks for all the good wishes for my '6th' birthday. I have, alas been on Blip much much longer but really cannot manage a blip a day for that long. I would however like to say that I have met some great people through blip from all around the world, both virtually and in person. And I feel truly blessed to have done so. I seem to comment less and less as life takes over but that doesn't mean I don't check out everyone's blip :-)
