The former Police box

Blipped the former Police box in Davidsons Main the afternoon, while dropping some stuff to the Chest, Heart and Stroke charity shop. Never been there before but the shop is lovely with loads of good stuff, and the staff were so friendly.

Anyway, here is some info about the Edinburgh Phone boxes:

Edinburgh's boxes are relatively large in comparison to others in the UK, and are of a rectangular plan, with a design by Ebenezer James MacRae, who was inspired by the city's abundance of neoclassical architecture. At their peak there were 86 scattered around the city. Most have been sold off by the police, with many been turned into coffee kiosks.

Reminds me that Dr Who is this on tonight.

Hope you are all having a good weekend all.
