DawnAgain

Now and again, particularly at this time of year, Mr DawnAgain and I head off early to Bushy Park and spend a couple of hours stalking the red deer and other wildlife. We got there at about 8 am today and had a great time taking pictures of the deer, herons, parakeets and swans and numerous humans in camouflage gear wielding cameras with enormous lenses. There was also a disproportionate number of joggers and a large group of exhausted-looking individuals participating in a military fitness exercise class.

Everyone I spoke to (and there were quite a few as it's a very friendly place) seemed to live within walking distance or a short drive away and were regular visitors who really love their local park. One of them, who had lived near the park all her life and whose husband died 13 years ago, had had a tree planted in the park in his memory, which I thought was a rather lovely thing to do.
