Open Doors day

Final of the MCC AC handicap competition in the morning against Alastair. I had low expectations as he's improving quickly and had six bisques against me. But I hit a long roquet attempt early on and, although only ran one hoop following it, it was a big shot. It settled me down and perhaps put doubts in his mind. His bisques fell before he got started with his second ball, and I took advantage.

In the afternoon it was Open Doors day. Lots of visitors including a colleague, and an ex-colleague, Rachel, with her 2 year old in tow. I played some "What's the time Mr Wolf". Almost always 6 o'clock, it turned out.

Thistle lost. Again.
