Georgian Chimneys

Edinburgh has two distinct areas, the Old Town which has buildings from the 16th and 17th century with many storeys and the New Town which sprung up during the Georgian era. These houses are well known for the symmetrical windows and the chimney pots that sit on top of buildings. They make a recognisable cityscape of the 200 year old New Town.
