Higher Ground

Grand Rapids' ArtPrize continues for 3-weeks throughout the city with a new addition this year - performance art. Kate Gilmore’s, Higher Ground,  Rumsey Street Project  transforms an abandoned residence to explore power and femininity.  Working in shifts,  nine women in long white dresses and red shoes, swing on swings mounted from the ceiling in front of open windows.
