Raploch in the rain

Went to the most amazing open air concert in the Raploch estate in Stirling, a once run down and infamous area that has been transformed through the power of music. The primary children from the area's Big Noise project had the biggest nights of their lives as they were conducted by Gustavo Dudamel and joined by the Simon Bolivar orchestra from Venezuela, all products of the amazing El Sistema music programme, which is now being delivered to the kids in the Raploch. Although it rained - and I mean, it really rained - it was of no consequence because what was happening on stage was both riveting and magical. My little Canon camera couldn't really do justice to it, but hopefully you get the sense of the crowds and the weather - you can also see Gustavo Dudamel on the big screen. To read more about the concert and to watch a clip, see here.
