Taking flight

After several months of being out of work following his resignation, Elder Son had interviews for 3 jobs on 3 successive days. He didn't hear back from one, came a close second for another, but was invited back for a second interview for the post he wanted the most ... and had a phone call on Monday offering him the job! It's an apprenticeship with a firm of accountants in Stratton-on-the-Fosse.

He started today, and demonstrated less than impressive organisational skills by leaving his lunch at home and his jacket on the bus! Luckily, he only had to work for four hours today as he had rather a lot to do when he got back, and he got his jacket back on the return bus journey.

I think he may have set a new record for the shortest time between starting a new job and going on holiday - tomorrow, he flies (flies, birds, see what I did there?) to China for 2 weeks!
