Last day of September

The weather is very warm, so it seems surprising that tomorrow will bring the first of October! Somehow, summer has returned and lingered in September this year!
I went out to lunch with a few friends - off down some pretty Dorset lanes to a delightful pub serving delicious home-cooked food. Most of us had not been there before, and it was a most enjoyable lunch and great fun! 
Back at home, I tackled a bunch of bindweed down by our gate, and some rather healthy looking dandelion plants! All gone now - so perhaps my lunch gave me the energy I needed !
Sunset over the fields here, and a plane in the sky - half a minute later, and the sun was gone!
