A trifle bizarre

Not a trifle at all, and not to be trifled with--I was really looking forward to the Grand Bazaar, and wasn't disappointed. Here was eaten, on this day, the most amazing kebab ever.

Before this, a trip to the extraordinary basilica cistern (5th-century AD), and after this 2 hours wandering around the now-even-more-restored church-turned-mosque-turned-museum Hagia Sofia (6th century). This city is every bit as amazing as I had remembered it.

That's a lot of superlatives, but they are all deserved.
