Proud as a peacock!

What a surprise ..... I don't get many butterflies in my garden but when I arrived back from my dog walking and trip to the supermarket this wee beauty was just lying on my front lawn. Fortunately my trusty point and shoot camera was hanging round my neck. The shopping bags were quickly cast aside and I stepped as quietly as possible onto the grass managing to take a couple of shots before the wings flapped and off went the peacock.
