Ben More and Stobinian

As the weather was set fair again, we decided to go and walk the Tarmachan Ridge near Killin. Usually this is done from the east, with a long walk back at the end. We decided to go from the north, and only saw a few people on the ridge itself. Whilst not as good a day as Wednesday, it was still shorts weather and this is the first time I've done a Munro in shorts in October. There was a lot of cloud to the north, and apart from Ben Nevis, nothing distant could be seen. To the west, It was similar, but the cloud was slightly lower, so the higher hills were visible. The blip is the view from the top towards Ben More and Stobinian. Usually landscapes are best without people, but in this case the figures on the skyline add to the photo. The extras are the amazing reflections at Loch Lubnaig as we went up in the morning and a panorama from the top looking west. It was another amazing day that may well be the last summer's day of the year. It was quite a good day for wildlife, as we saw a Red Squirrel, an Eagle and Tadpoles at 950 metres, and heard the stags roaring in the rut.
