I headed over to Surat Bay for a walk today - had a lovely long walk along the beach in the glorious sunshine (20 degrees) There was a bit of a sand storm (extras) but other than that was just perfect. Too early in the day for sea lions? Not sure but there weren't any visible. So after a stop at the Catlins cafe for a late lunch I headed down to Jacks Bay beach for another walk. On the way the spoonbill (extras) was having a good feed.

Yet again two sealions sunning themselves on the beach at Jacks Bay. This one curled his lip at me as I walked past as if to scare me off, but he couldn't be bothered to move :-) Know just how he feels!
