Chester FC 3 Wrexham 2

I'm not a huge fan of the local derby, mainly because of all the nonsense that surrounds the game. Once again it was a bubble match with Wrexham fans only allowed to travel on official coaches. The two grounds are only 10 miles apart but the England/Wales border separates them and Chester and Wrexham are contrasting places so it is a unique derby played in a unique atmosphere.

Bearing in mind Chester's recent dodgy run I'm pleased to say that today's game was terrific entertainment with Chester deservedly winning 3-2. John Rooney scored with a fantastic long-range free-kick and also hit the inside of the post with another set-piece in the second half. The other goals were scored by Tom Shaw, my man of the match, and Kane Richards with his first goal for the club.

Today's blip shows manager Steve Burr interviewed after the game.
