Valley of Temples, Agrigento

From our hotel in Agrigento (the excellent Colleverde Park Hotel) you can look across the plain to the sea, and can pick out two or three of the Greek temples in the Valley of Temples. There are five or six temples (or parts thereof) including a huge temple of Zeus and an almost complete temple of Concordia. It's a beautiful valley of olive and fruit groves, protected from the south by a natural cliff.
