Blowing in the wind

While out walking I picked a thistle head which I brought back for a drawing study.. That was a few days ago. Then the heat in the studio caused it to  multiply in size and created a beatiful globe much lighter than a feather.

Meanwhile its been a day of preparing the garden for winter and the storms which are forecast tomorrow.
