We had been planning a day out but as I am still grotty with an unending cold, we stayed at home instead. The brown recycling bin is now full to bursting despite best efforts to squash it down, but you can't really see the hard work in the garden which is a little annoying. Everything or nearly everything has been giving an autumn haircut. The butterfly plant survived as it is in full bloom and a couple of roses that still have buds. This week's job is to make a call to organise to have the laurel cut back by about two metres.
It was a beautiful day, hope the Indian summer will continue but the forecast isn't promising.
