The Lighthouse at Dawn

This morning I got up early and made my way down to Collioure port before the sun came up.

This is a view of the 15th century lighthouse, which is now a bell tower.

Collioure has always been a source of inspiration for artists. Picasso, Derain, Dufy, Chagall, Matisse, Marquet and Mackintosh have all spent time in Collioure to capture its distinctive landscapes.
