Istanbul 14th Biennial

An afternoon full of Art when I went with six colleague friends to investigate the 14th Istanbul Biennial.  The first stop was at the Istanbul Modern which as always, had some really interesting stuff, including "Venus of the Rags" - Michelangelo Pistoletto 1967 in the 'extras' and some less so, always to be so with contemporary art exhibitions I find - and then we went to the second location, the old Greek school ("Rum Okulu") where I was totally bowled over by the various installations. Pictured is "The Salt Traders" (artist: Anna Boghiguian).  As much as the Art work - maybe even more -  I loved the old school building and the impressive roof top sky view with the old Armenian church in the foreground (classroom, staircase and sky view in extras).  This was an afternoon to remember.

And all this Art in glorious warm sunshine - a lovely sunny Sunday.
