Weird Weather

Frost, sunshine and rain on a windless day!
Finally the frost arrived on 4 October,  with temperatures down to -3° C.  This is amazing in a part of the world where frost can come in August, and usually arrives in the first half of September.  Anyway, the frost was part of a high pressure area parked over Sweden, meaning cold nights and clear sunny days - how lovely!
So why is it raining, even if it is also sunny! Apparently it’s to do with the relatively warm sea and the moisture laden air drifting in over the land and cooling down, hence rain.  Only places very near the coast get this unusual weather so we should feel honoured not be just getting the boring sunny days!!
I hope you are getting good weather - the sun without the rain perhaps!
