Tame versus wild !

Open gardens in the village today - 1pm it was throwing it down, but we were in luck by 1.30 when the gardens opened it had stopped raining - just a rather windy afternoon.

Persuaded the" other half", on a the promise of a cup of tea and "sticky" at the hall afterwards, to have a wander around. It was lovely to visit other peoples gardens and have a nose at what was behind the garden fences.

There were lots of lovely manicured flower beds but the one that got my camera out was a lovely wild flower area . It was under a silver birch ,and next to the pond, beside which a garden seat was conveniently placed. There were many cornflowers about to come out which would have put splashes of blue through the grasses to join the poppies and daisies - I wish they had been out. A lovely place to sit and contemplate.

Now I wonder where we could fit in a wildflower garden?
