Hobbies are good for you!

This BEAUTIFUL creature is, of course, a Hobby. It put on a fine display of Dragonfly hunting in front of the Bittern Hide at Minsmere this afternoon then obligingly perched on a relatively nearby tree. If I had a better camera the photo would be better but had to blip it didn't I? Here are a couple of more shots of it.

Another bird displaying well was the Marsh Harrier.

Then there was a Heron with an identity crisis!
This post is usually used by Kingfishers.
It did a very good impersonation.
But perhaps the finish wasn't quite as elegant!

Minsmere was looking lovely today when the sun was out but boy, the wind was strong and chilly! Still there was some sex in the bushes!!

And finally, a sight which caused a lot of giggles. You've heard of Oxpecker birds in Africa riding along on backs of cattle? Well in Suffolk we have Deerpeckers!
