Suffragette City

London Day 4

The red carpet was out and Leicester Square was heaving tonight for the premiere of Suffragette. The event was stormed by a large group of feminist protesters who jumped the barriers, waved placards, chanted and laid down on the red carpet.

I managed to see Meryl Streep, Carey Mulligan, John Hurt, Anne-Marie Duff, Brendon Gleeson and others, but getting good shots of the big names wasn't quite so easy.

This is Brendon. I wouldn't have recognised him if I had passed him in the street.
