National Poetry Day

As it is both Abstract Thursday and National Poetry Day I have created an abstract based on the first page of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyan. The words are rather mangled so here they are:

Awake! for Morning in the 
   Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the 
   Stars to Flight;
And Lo! the Hunter of the East
   has caught
The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of 
   Light.


(I've just noticed that this year's NPD theme is Light, so the quote seems appropriate.)
