Voles-eye view

In the winter, when the snow melts, I discover how many voles live in my garden. They make tunnels under the snow, feeding on grass roots. Their trails are very obvious when the snow melts. During the rest of the year I'd never know they were there. I guess if they were out in daylight, in October, this is what they'd see.
