Harping on

It's the Jane Austen Festival week in Alton! So, this evening, we attended a harp concert in her house. Actually, it was in the new extension but we did have refreshments in her kitchen.

The harpist, Mike Parker, interspersed his concert with a history lesson about harp music, Jane Austen and how the two went together. According to Mike, the good girls played piano while the bad girls shoved this big thing between their legs and got plucking.

This was one of his three harps with him tonight.
