Night skies

This is what confronted us outside our back door this evening. We've seen northern lights here before but not with the intensity of colour. It was just a sham that there was a bank of cloud obscuring some of the display. Who needs fireworks!
Perhaps it was a reward from my completing two days of supply? Or for having a decent stroll in the hinterland of the Lees?  Or for Tricia getting into another school up here? Either way a well impressive sight.
