South Ayrshire - Seahorses & Suffragettes

There were so many pictures from today, but I really love the colours in this, and I'm really tired now. That over excited, inspired, relieved, sore-feet, trekked through muddy trenches to see outdoor art type of knackeredness that comes with a Place Partnership launch - celebrated today in South Ayrshire. An inspiring day & a great tribute to the hard work of those involved.

Take a trip to South Ayrshire, search out the Seahorses sculpture in beautiful Dunure harbour. This weekend, head to the brilliant Robert Burns Birthplace Museum & Burns Cottage for Causeway - a site-specific work, telling the story of the suffragettes who attempted to blow up Burns Cottage. It's an amazing tale and beautifully, emotionally told. Check out Ayr Gaiety Theatre before it closes for refurbishment next year (how about some Halloween fun?). Visit Rozelle House & Maclaurin Art Gallery - there's loads going on - craft sales, exhibitions.....There's also tasty goodies from the cafe's & restaurants at all of these places (& I've tried them all).

Or explore your own creative community. It'll be awesome.
