To Dubai

Quick blip from the airport at Dubai.

We left the hotel early and were through security for 10am.  We then had a long wait for our flight which took off at 1.50pm.  Six or so hours later we arrived in Dubai, and we have about an hour here whilst they clean and tidy the plane.  We then board for the 12+ hour leg to Melbourne.

PS: Security at Dubai is...multi level. We got off the plane, and went through security with empty water bottles. We then filled them up from a water fountain, did the blip then went through to the plane. At which point we went through another unexpected security checkpoint, and they were checking for water again. So we downed one bottle between us and put the other in the bin. Not sure what the second level of security added...especially given that we then filled up the remaining bottle from a fountain inside the gate!
