DawnAgain

Will you?

Back in 1980 my best friend at school at the time, Anna-Marie, gave me a cassette copy of the Breaking Glass album by Hazel O'Connor. Anna-Marie's uncle was the keyboard player in the band and so she had acquired a few free copies. We were only 12 at the time but I grew to love the album and still do to this day. And tonight, 35 years later, with Mr DawnAgain I went to see Hazel O'Connor in concert for the first time. She's 60 now but you wouldn't know it and, along with Sarah Fisher on piano and Claire Hirst on saxophone, put on an excellent show. It featured nearly all of the songs from Breaking Glass along with many of her/their more recent ones and was interspersed with autobiographical anecdotes. A great night out (in Bordon of all places). Photography wasn't allowed by the venue incidentally so this was the stage beforehand.

In other news, we spent the day decorating the living room and will finish the job tomorrow. This will just leave one more
room more to do, hurrah!
