Awake in the back

It's the second transmission live from Jodrell Bank with Elbow singing in the rain to a very enthusiastic and smiley audience of pac-a-macs and raincoats.

I've seen Elbow many times, and I was here for last years Transmission 001 with the ever illuminated Flaming Lips - this one was larger with less main stage emphasis on the science, which was my only grumble on an entertaining day spent with a very good friend. Transmission 002 was amazing gig, and a real tonic to be standing in a field punching the air and jumping on the spot to an incredible band.

Once again Guy Garvey's words ring true 'One like this a year will see me right!'
