Sail Away!

On the service bus again to Ryde then caught another to St Helens where we walked to Bembridge .

After a café stop we walked along the beach to the Lifeboat Station. The beach had lots of seaweed covered groyns and tree roots from where gardens had eroded and ended up as part of the beach (extra picture).

We then walked to Bembridge Windmill which was a fascinating wind powered windmill with most of it's wooden machinery intact. We were able to climb to the top where the views were great and also to see it's workings.
