Country Landscape -- compressed

Another bright autumn day! It began at -05C... the first of three frosts before Indian Summer ends our season. A time a splendid colourful beauty typical of the New England region.
The photo seems to compress the field of newly mowed wheat, then a line of corn stalks drying for a while and the woods looming behind it all.
In the noon time it was pleasantly warm again.
