Big o and The Wilburys Tribute show

Romford, where I live, has a wonderful little secret - a small 150 seat capacity theatre tucked around the back of the market.
David Essex is its patron.

Anyway this small little theatre with its small amount of staff put on some great little concerts, productions and plays and tonights was no exception.

Tonight was a tribute to Roy Orbison and the travelling Wilburys, imagining what a concert would have been like had these guys ever done one.
We were treated to all of the Travelling Wilburys classics along with the hits of Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison and Tom Petty (the guy who played Tom is unfortunately just out of shot in this photo).

The Traveling Wilburys.
Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne.
Five great musicians and great friends - All though idolized Roy Orbison (as indeed did Elvis Presley).
Roy recorded his vocals for my favourite Traveling Wilburys song 'END OF THE LINE' shortly before falling ill and eventually dying.
The band desperately wanted Roy to be part of the video for the song, so during Roys vocals you see Roys guitar on a rocking horse alongside a photo of the great man.
Enjoy it HERE

You may also enjoy watching the actual group I saw last night, who I thought were excellent HERE
