Norfolk Crescent

This crescent of houses  - designed to resemble The Royal Crescent in Bath - was part of a grandiose plan in the early 1800's to develop Hayling Island into an upmarket seaside resort.  In the end only half of the crescent was built and nowadays the houses have been turned into flats and local planners have allowed modern, totally inappropriate buildings, to be constructed alongside.
